1-Week Websites

For kind & compassionate coaches, healers, & change-makers who are here to elevate our collective consciousness.

One Week Websites are designed by a coach for coaches like you to showcase your brilliance and help you stand out in search results.

With One Week Websites, you can stop DIY-ing it with overly corporate one-size-fits-all templates that leave MUCH to be desired.

With One Week Websites, there’s no "lorem ipsum” copy or generic sections to navigate. Instead, you’ll receive detailed guidance for what words to create in every single section (which you can override if you’d like), and you’ll have me holding your hand the whole way.

My One Week Website process borrows heavily from a website mentor’s tried-and-true method that are designed to reduce overwhelm, help your site show up in Google searches, and showcase your uniqueness & professionalism.

But first…know that I ONLY make websites for humans who are kind to humanity & Mama Earth.

If this describes you, I invite you to continue exploring this offer.

How well does your website speak to your ideal clients?

Your website is your internet home. Is your home inviting or is it chaotic? Does it showcase your professionalism and uniqueness that only you offer? Or does it look like every other cookie-cutter website (or worse, a DIY-mess)?

Aesthetics aside, is it accessible to older farts like me who can’t find their readers and would be interested in your offers…if only they could read your fancy script (or tiny or low-contrast) font?

Aesthetics and accessibility aside, is it even discoverable via a Google search? Like, if your ideal client Googled the exceptional service you offer, would you show up in their search results?

If you’re cringing as you read this because your site is not your pride and joy, a One Week Website may be for you.

One Week Websites are…

  • I do all the tech and design stuff so that we can both keep our nervous systems regulated from Day 1.

  • I hold your hand throughout the process, ensuring that you know exactly what’s required from you.

  • Your website will come with a library of short videos so that you can easily update your site, create a new sales page, and do so much more.

Is a One Week Website right for you?

That depends. For many - perhaps most - coaches and service providers like you, one of the biggest factors is cost. I’m not here to sell you a service you neither can afford nor need.

A gorgeous website won’t generate clients for you.

As a coach who has a (gorgeous!) website, I can assure you that having one doesn’t magically result in clients booking discovery calls. If you want a website because you think that’s what’s going to get you clients, I encourage you to put a hold on the whole website thing for the time being and instead read Steve Chandler and Rich Litvin’s book The Prosperous Coach.

The gist of that book is that building a prosperous coaching business is about building relationships and being of service to others, without any expectation that they’ll become paying clients. Some people bristle at this - particularly the latter statement - and I’m not here to tell you to coach for free or that having a website doesn’t matter.

The takeaway is that a website - though useful - isn’t a magic bullet.

AND, having a well-built website helps. For example:

  • Solid messaging and SEO can help you show up in Google search results.

  • It offers potential clients a chance to “get to know you” without the pressure of a call.

  • It showcases your offers and how potential clients can work with you.

  • It offers YOU an online home to share yourself and your work with the world.

  • It adds a layer of professionalism to your work.

You may have fears about building a website.

If you’re contemplating DIY-ing your site, you may feel overwhelmed on where to even begin. If this isn’t your first rodeo, maybe you’re comfortable(ish) with issues like hosting and how to navigate the back end, connect your domain, work within your chosen website building platform, and things like that. But maybe you’re worried that it will look like your 12-year-old niece’s class project. You know, with colors and fonts that scream “amateur!” and formatting like it was built in 2005.

And if you’re contemplating working with a designer, you might worry that your vision and desired aesthetic will differ from your designer’s interpretation, that it will take forever to build your site (most custom sites take months to build), or that it won’t show up in Google search results (which can happen if designers don’t follow a host of “rules” that the algorithm expects).

Regardless of the specific fears or whether you plan to DIY-it or hire a designer, the takeaway is that you’re probably worried that you’ll end up throwing away a bunch of money into a site you don’t love.

So here’s what to do (even if you don’t plan to hire me).

If you plan to DIY it, I’m going to share a video with you very soon about how I’d approach doing it, what platform I recommend (Squarespace!), and caveats to keep an eye on so that Google doesn’t penalize you for misusing headers, not being accessible, or being bloated with large images or unnecessary Javascript. Check back soon!

If you plan to DIY it and you LOVE design, I strongly recommend investing in the course Standout Squarespace (btw, this is an affiliate link). It’s how I went from DIY-ing my own Wordpress sites for 10+ years to coding Squarespace sites that are AWESOME! Rache is a fantastic teacher, and this program is invaluable. It’s not cheap, but she truly over-delivers.

If you want to “pick my brain,” you can book a paid call (like you would if you wanted to get coached for an hour). Link to come shortly!

One Week Website Details

About 1-Week Websites

Websites can be daunting for coaches and small business owners! Custom sites are spendy, but the alternative is DIYing it with a one-size-fits-all-industries template (plus a crash course in web design), right? Wrong. One Week Websites takes a template I’ve built from scratch and adds your branding and copy at less than half of the price you’d pay for a well-built custom site.

How it works, in brief

  • We’ll review your needs to ensure that this service is a mutually good fit.

  • You’ll complete a Content Planner that simplifies the creation of high-impact copy.

  • I’ll tell you exactly what to provide & we’ll have a few calls to stay on track.

  • Then, I’ll build your site, add your SEO, & finalize it with you…all in one week.

Who it’s designed for

Change-makers (especially coaches and other service-based businesses) that are here to create a kinder world and who need a stunning and unique AF website but neither have the budget for a custom site nor the desire to DIY it.

Website FAQs

  • The “One-Week” part of One-Week Websites is in reference to the week I build your site, show you how to use, and hand it off to you. This doesn’t account for the prep work involved on your end.

    Exploration phase

During our initial call, we’ll explore what your needs are, whether a One-Week Website is a good fit, and if you have a need for any add-on services.

    Onboarding phase

If we decide to work together, you’ll schedule a few important Zoom calls, sign an agreement, and pay your deposit. Once you do, we’ll get to work.

    Compilation phase

Once you’ve paid your deposit, you’ll receive a content planner that guides you through the process. Your part of the process typically spans three weeks.

    Build-out & hand-off phase

On the fourth week, I’ll build your site, walk you through it, and hand it off.

You’ll receive a few tutorials that will show you how to make basic updates and changes to your site, e.g. duplicating blog posts and sales pages, reusing sections, etc.

    Support phase

You will also receive limited email support* for 30 days.

*Note that this support is for troubleshooting issues and not for making substantive changes to your site. Should you want substantive changes, that would require a separate investment.

  • First, know that we’re going to chat about branding during our initial call - before you sign your agreement or put down a deposit - so that (1) there won’t be any surprises, and (2) we can schedule your project accordingly.

You will also receive a welcome guide that walks you through your project’s branding needs.

If this all feels overwhelming, keep in mind that you I offer these services as add-ons. And with that…

    Your branding guide

Professional branding is important! It reflects your professionalism and vibe, and if it looks DIY or sloppy or non-cohesive, it’s going to repel potential clients (and hurt my reputation as your designer!).

And so, all clients are expected to provide a branding guide created by a design professional.*

Your branding guide will include your branding colors, logo and logo variations, and fonts (heading, paragraph, etc.).

*Note that Fiverr, your teen daughter, and free Canva templates do not qualify as reputable professionals.

Also note that while I’m not a brand stylist, I’m good enough at the basics (typography, color, and plain text logos) to be able to offer a super basic brand guide at a low cost to you, should you need a budget-friendly branding option. But seriously - a pro is best!

    Images

You’ll also need to provide me with (ideally!) professionally shot and edited images and/or on-brand stock photos.

I’ll provide you with a guide for planning your photoshoot (if you have one scheduled). I’ll also provide you with a few pointers for selecting on-brand stock photos.

And as mentioned, I offer on-brand stock photo curation as an add-on, should you need it.

  • In short, no. I’m not a copywriter, and I don’t know your business inside out like you do.

That being said, I’m not going to throw you to the wolves.

The Content Planner you’ll receive will walk you through the exact copy I’ll need from you to make your site look like the demo (but better). I’ll also offer you an AI resource that you can use to help you generate copy (100% optional!), as well as a guide to my own approach for simplifying messaging and copywriting.

A lot of people struggle with messaging and writing copy, but the resources I’m providing should help tremendously.

Finally, if you are so inclined, you could outsource it to a professional copywriter.

  • I stagger my workload so that I’m never working on more than two One-Week Websites at any given time.

As such, deadlines are very important to keep.

Your agreement explains what happens if you miss a deadline, so please read it carefully before signing.

Also, before we book your project, we’ll discuss expectations and timelines so there won’t be any surprises.

  • Yes. Please submit an inquiry so that we can discuss your project.

  • If you need a page (or section, etc.) that’s not included in the 1-Week Website, you have a few options.

    You can:

    1. Duplicate an existing page and adapt it as needed,

    2. Request the additional pages or sections as an add-on,

    3. Purchase the add-on pages bundle (if it exists for your template), or

    4. Book time with me to create the pages or sections you need.

  • At this time, branding and other add-ons are not available as an individual purchase. However, I do plan to offer some add-ons as stand-alone purchases in the near future. Please submit a general inquiry if you’re interested in such a service. Thanks!

Branding Add-Ons

About this service

These are add-ons to my web design services and are not currently available as standalone purchases. The intention behind these offers is to ensure that your branding has the vibe and aesthetic you dig, is cohesive across platforms, and eliminates the DIY/cookie-cutter vibe that plagues soooo many solopreneur websites and social posts.

Sample branding add-ons

A basic brand style guide that includes a text logo, a font pairing (with a third (script) font if needed), and brand colors

Custom Canva social media templates, podcasting episode covers, etc.

Flodesk email templates & forms

Curated stock photography that reflect your brand’s vibe

Who it’s designed for

Website clients who need help creating a cohesive brand presence across their website, email marketing, and social media.

Pricing & details

Basic brand kit* (text logo, fonts, & colors): included*

Canva social media kit: starts at $500.

Curated stock photography: starts at $500.

Flodesk email templates &/or forms: starts at $500.

Add-ons aren’t one-size-fits-all. Social media kits are tailored to the platforms you use and the types of content you tend to post. Complex requests, customizations unique to your brand (beyond typography and colors), and other needs that increase my workload will drive these starting prices up. Note: using premium assets is optional; you will be responsible for purchasing the appropriate licenses should you choose to use them.

*If you need branding (especially logos), I recommend working with a brand stylist, as I am not a graphic designer.

The Basic Brand Kit is required (it’s included in your base price) unless you either (1) provide a workable brand style guide prior to our initial call or (2) during our initial call, commit to working with a professional brand stylist who provides a workable brand style guide prior to Build Week. In either case, I will reduce your final invoice by $500.

That’s as far as this page goes…
