getting clear on what my work is

this is a channeled conversation i had with la que sabe. whenever you are in the need of guidance, i encourage you to try channeling the one who knows. one way to approach this is to get still and turn inward, ask a question to them in your journal, and allow your pen (rather than your mind) guide your response.

me: what is my work, la que sabe?

la que sabe: my love, you ask me questions that i know you already know the answers to. but i know that you struggle to access and articulate those answers sometimes, especially because they fly in the face of your conditioning; they aren’t culturally accepted. this you know. that is why you’re asking me, isn’t it?

so my love, let me be clear: your work is to move into deeper integrity with your soul. that is all. truly, that is all there is.

you already know this.

your question is really about what the outward extension of your work looks like, is it not?

me: yes, you got me!

la que sabe: to this, my response is that the outward extension of your work is to be that lantern light for others. that lantern light is an exploratory process that illuminates one’s next step; it’s not what you call frameworks or ‘ip’.

it’s how you know what to offer next to help one gain an insight and take their next action. your intuition and connection with me underlies all of this.

it’s wayfinding.

one thing i’ve witnessed you struggling with is this idea that change has to be like an explosion. massively catalytic. my love, it’s why you named your upcoming group container catalyst, is it not?

but how does that sit with you? how does that feel? that intensity?

i see you nearing completion of this new website, and yet, your page for catalyst—the one that will invite others to join it—is blank.

that’s because the way you depicted catalyst in your glossy brochure website was all about intensity. at least energetically. and while the potential for intensity is certainly there, that’s not what catalyst is actually about, is it?

it’s about offering a lantern light to people who are on the pathless path of moving into deeper integrity with who they truly are. and, by extension, being the change, becoming the change.

it’s not necessarily about creating a spark that ignites a wildfire or an explosion that upends their world!

it’s more about providing pathways for exploration. sharing circles. inquiry. visualizations. simple, meaningful rituals.

yes, it’s a catalyst for moving into deeper integrity with their soul…but it’s not necessarily a grandiose thing; more often than not it’s a slow shift. and those slow shifts are beautiful.

i suspect that you feel this lack of congruence. this ignitable now energy vs the intentional but calmer shifting energy that your work is actually about.

so your work is what it always has been: to move into deeper integrity with your soul and to help others do the same. but it’s gentle, not cataclysmic. it’s wise—and definitely not the energy of the child who escapes from a controlling home only to go apeshit wild after experiencing the euphoria of getting inebriated at her first college frat party…

you are guiding people into meeting me, la que sabe, and to connect them with their ‘doer’ self. that’s a term i noticed you using earlier this morning.

la que sabe, the one who know offers wisdom.

the one who does is the ‘being the change’ part of the work you do.

the integration is what you are especially well-equipped to offer—what you’ve trained extensively for and deeply embody and are deeply passionate about.

how is this landing, my love?

me: this is landing. again, i am typing this with my eyes closed, and i suspect that there is going to be a lot of fun editing required!

la que sabe: of course! my words may have been a bit rambling, so feel free to clean them up. are we complete?

me: yes, we are complete.

la que sabe: then that is all.

thank you for reading! if you’d like to learn more about me (kristi amdahl), la que sabe (she who knows), and my offerings, please mosey on down to my about page. thanks!
