This event occurs in-person and is FREE and inclusive. If you identify as a woman, you are welcome.
My intention is to provide a sacred container for women to congregate and connect. I’ve always been drawn to Moon – especially in her full and new stages – and I’ve participated in sacred moon circles many, many years ago. There is something truly beautiful and empowering about being in the presence of women in a moon circle setting!
Which brings me to “my why.” I’ve been missing these connections with my global sisterhood deeply, and I’ve finally decided to actually do something about it. I hope you’ll join us!
For the time being, I’ll be hosting these circles in my backyard around my fire pit (near Gompers Park lagoons; near Pulaski and Foster in Chicago). Please arrive on time. If you must arrive 5+ minutes late, please let me know so that I can minimize disruptions to our circle.
Please bring a lawn chair, and while you’re welcome to bring whatever beverage suits you, please plan to arrive and remain sober. Please note that this is not a communal food and/or drink sharing event, and I will not be providing refrigeration, glasses, etc.
Please do not bring children. However, mature teenage girls who want to participate are welcome. Why? Because we’ll be having uncensored adult discussions.
Finally, if the weather prohibits an outside gathering, I’ll post a contingency plan here, on social media, and via this group’s email list. Click here to get on that list.
When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by me and a fire. You’ll plop the lawn chair you brought down somewhere along the fire’s perimeter and maybe chat with your neighbors while others trickle in.
I’ll open the circle a few minutes later with a brief centering exercise followed by introductions. I’ll be feeling out the group as you introduce yourselves, and we’ll follow the introductions with a topic that seems to work with our unique vibe. While I’ll have a couple in my back pocket, I want to honor the energy that’s present. We’ll share popcorn-style. When it’s time, I’ll close the circle with a few words.
Hi! My name’s Kristi, and I live in Chicago’s North Mayfair neighborhood. I’ve held space for women throughout my life, and while I’m offering this because I’m deeply craving it myself, I want to share a couple of things you might want to know about me. First, I’ve completed a trauma-sensitive advanced yoga teacher training program and am very conscientious about meeting people where they’re at. Second, I’m a transformative life coach, and this informs how I show up for others and hold space.
Holding space is one of the most powerful ways that we can show up for each other, and it’s an honor to be entrusted by you to facilitate this in our women’s moon circles. Thank you.
This is important! Our circles are sacred containers that open and close with intention, and arriving late is disruptive to the circle’s energy. If you can’t avoid being late but want to be here, please lmk at least 5 minutes BEFORE we start.
Do: bring a chair. Plan to turn off your phone for the duration of our circle.
Don’t: bring children or men, arrive or get intoxicated, or share my address with anyone. Thanks!
Stay in the know! If weather forces a change in plans, you’ll be the first to know if you sign up to receive updates. By signing up, you’ll also learn about future circles and related events.
*Important: you will only receive emails relevant to these circles, and it’s easy to unsubscribe if they no longer hold your interest. I’ll never sell your email or spam you in any way!
